FAQs
How much do your services cost?
Every tree is different and therefore we cannot give a definitive price list for our services. There are numerous factors that we consider when quoting, these include but are not limited to: access to the tree/property, removal of waste, size of tree, type of tree and length of job. Our pricing is reasonable so don’t hesitate to enquire.
Do you have insurance?
We are fully insured with Arborisk up to £5million, our equipment and our subcontractors are also insured.
Do you work in all weather conditions?
We work all year round and in all weather conditions, except heavy snow where climbing trees would be particularly hazardous! During the spring we have to be mindful of nesting birds and some trees do not tolerate heavy pruning in the summer months. Our lead tree surgeon, Ben, is knowledgeable in tree identification and will inform you if your tree requires special treatment.
My tree has a tree preservation order/is in a conservation area, can any work be done?
Tree Preservation Order’s or TPO’s are in place to protect specific trees, groups of trees or woodlands. These are normally tree’s of special interest for example, ancient and old trees. Work cannot be carried out on a tree with a TPO without written consent from your local planning authority. The same goes for trees in conservation areas. Our tree surgeons will usually be able to apply for permission on your behalf. It is important for trees to be maintained to prolong their life and ensure their safety, good tree management is encouraged by local authorities.
What is your current lead time for work?
Our current availability is 2-6 weeks but the winter months are notably busier for most tree surgeons. Therefore, if you have a tree that you require our services for we recommend that you contact us sooner rather than later to secure our services.
